Land Shapes

I love to explore the shapes and the colors of landscapes! My husband and I take a lot of road trips.  As he drives, I can’t help but lose myself in all the wonderful scenery, and I usually end up taking lots and lots of pictures.

After our trips, I look for the images that speak to me.  And then I strengthen those messages by painting them.  The act of painting releases the stories trapped in the landscapes to be discovered in the shapes of leaves, or the visual rhythms of clouds, or the intriguing patterns of barn boards.
