In 2014, Microsoft and K-W’s own Deep Realities collaborated to present an amazing 3-day event where local techies and creatives could team up to explore the vast potential of Micro-Soft’s Kinect sensors.
My team, Team REAPsters, decided to create an Art Jam. I was trying to explore ways to make the experience of viewing art more engaging. We used the sensors to capture the user’s movements, which caused the image of one of my paintings to morph and change with music which was composed especially for each piece. Many thanks to Jennifer Janik of Deep Realites for hosting this amazing event, and to Team REAPsters Glen Mead and Alan Robb for making the Art Jam actually happen!
