Amy’s Art Attack

The City of Waterloo (with the help of Button Factory Arts) worked with me to produce an “Art Attack” style installation in Waterloo Public Square on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in celebration of National Youth Art Week. This event was delivered in conjunction with eyeGO to the Arts’ event, Extra Curricular.

I invited participating youths – along with everyone else – to help me express my view of Waterloo (#PictureYourWaterloo). It was a classic 5ft x 5ft ‘paint-by-numbers’ scenario, with 100 individual 6in x 6in tiles that will need painting.  I’ve always been so impressed by all of the wonderful tulips that show up in Uptown Waterloo every Spring.

I extend a BIG Thanks to everyone that came out to Waterloo Town Square to participate in my ‘Amy’s Art Attack’!!!  What a wonderful experience to have so many people help me out with my very first public art project.
